Firmware developer
We are looking for a skilled resource to oversee all aspects of firmware developer, in particular he/she will be involved in an international project based in Austria, and he/she will be in charge of leads software and hardware development of functional and safety subsystems.
Activities:
● Assess HW and FW requirements
● Design HW and FW Architecture, Specification
● Develop FW and HW solutions (eg):
- Device Drivers
- Motor Control Drivers
- Safety Control Firmware
- RTOS Skeleton
- Management of Loads / Sensors
- Fault Management
● Fast prototyping of complex ideas onto an embedded platform in C/C++ programming language and HW prototype
● Develop digital communication interfaces drivers and protocols.
● Being able to debug HW and FW using a wide range of techniques and tools
● Ensure the correct integration of software with hardware and mechanics
● Ability to work efficiently with suppliers and to support technical gate reviews processes
● Ensure that the definition, storage and revision of technical specifications area managed and released in timely and proper manner.
The ideal profile should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications or a similar qualification;
- At least 3- 5 years' experience in embedded systems
- Experience in functional safety concept & technical safety concepts
- Previous experience with unit/acceptance testing and writing testable code
- Strong background in real time embedded C/C++
- Previous experience working with embedded RTOS
- Ability to plan and estimate development tasks (ideally within an Agile framework).
- Demonstrable industrial C/C++ experience, preferably within automotive environment and or household appliance industry
- Plus is Robotic FW / HW Experience
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, German is a Plus
Strong interpersonal skills, solution-oriented approach, open and constructive communication style and time management are essential requirements as well.
