PURPOSE

The Site Quality Manager establishes, maintains and verifies the implementation of the site quality plan ensuring that the contractual, legal and internal requirements are met. He is responsible for ensuring that all quality control tasks are carried out, documenting the construction process and inspecting each stage of construction.

The Site Quality Manager coordinates and reports on the site

quality activities and on the related quality interfaces, maintaining client, project team, subcontractors and Project or Unit Quality Manager liaison and communication on quality related issues.

Customer Care:

- Check that customer requirements are fully determined, reviewed and taken into account in all site activities

- Ensure that Customer is duly informed of site Quality issues and progress

- Check that Customer requests on site are communicated and answered with the relevant reactivity

- Ensure that Customer complaints, if any, are communicated to the Project Manager and to the Unit & Project Quality Managers

- Ensure that Customer property on site is identified, verified as conformed, protected and safeguarded

Site Quality Plan(s)

- Prepare, implement and update the Site Quality Plan(s) (by Customizing the subcontractor files or the Grid existing frames to the project requirements) in collaboration with the Unit & Project Quality Managers, Project Manager, Engineering Manager and Erection and Commissioning Managers

- Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and with the contract requirements and make them approved by the Project Quality Manager or by the Project Manager

- Check on a regular basis that quality-related activities are in line with the project time schedules

Quality Management

- Manage the site quality activities, interfaces and reviews, liaising with customer's quality representative, Project Quality Manager, internal departments, suppliers and subcontractors on matters related to quality

- Deploy the quality communication on site and the necessary awareness Site Quality sessions and trainings

- Manage and maintain the follow-up tables of deviations (NC) and snag lists, controlling non-conformity reports and remedial actions

- Participate in analysis of site deviations, problem solving and site corrective actions

- Monitor and communicate the progress regarding the Site Quality objectives

- Plan, organize and run monthly site quality reviews

- Prepare and provide with monthly quality reporting to Project and to Unit Quality Management on the performance / the effective results of the implementation of the site quality plan and on relevant improvement actions

Suppliers and Sub-contractors Quality

- Verify and document that materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project

- Liaise with the Logistic department for necessary insurance claim to be done in line with internal transport damages or losses procedure

- Liaise with the Project Buyer and with the Site Manager in Quality aspects related with Equipment delivery, Site supervision, Site Acceptance Tests and Quality records

- Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors and the Site Manager prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality

- Chair QA/QC site weekly meetings with the subcontractors QC personnel

- Maintain the Site Quality Plans, to monitor the related Inspection and Test Plan(s) for the site activities, to ensure work is correctly prepared prior to inspection and to physically participate in Site Inspections and Tests

- Inform the Site Manager and jointly stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work

Requirements:

experience in QC manager position at construction sites in HVDC project and/or ACS project
Able to develop ITP for commissioning activities;
Location: Piossasco construction site;
Language: Italian and English fluent (speaking, reading, writing);
Skill in PDM system, 8D analysis, internal Q auditor;
Experience in specific QC activities especially for electromechanical assembling and testing in order to attend/supervoise the tests&inspections at site;
